NON-ACCREDITED FIREARM TRAINING
We offer one on one training from first time shooter to advanced level, the benefit of this is that the instructor only focuses on you alone and not on a full class. We meet you at your current skill level and work from there to get you to a place where you can proficiently handle your firearm safely with confidence. We also present skills builders for pistol, shotgun and SLR.

Private sessions will be R450 per hour.

PERSONAL TRAINING

First time shooters/ gun owners should practice new skills like mag changes draw from a holster. Non-accredited training helps develop skills of the firearm owner to understand the fundamentals of holding the firearm is the correct way.    Participation in non-accredited training also helps with malfunctions and movement to build the all important muscle memory and not fall into bad habits. This is not a unit standard. Skill builders helps with stance and movement with a firearm and shooting from behind cover and positions that changes the trajectory of the bullet.  Joining a shooting club will be the best thing you can do to help yourself understand your firearm. MOTIVATIONS
Professional and detailed firearm motivations. Discount available for multiple applications. 1 Week turnaround time. Motivations for self-defense, occasional hunting or sport shooting and dedicated hunting or sport shooting. For the motivation we require the following information. All the information can be sent via email to Armedcraft. We will need the following personal information from you.
  1. Your full Name and surname,
  2. Your ID Number,
  3. Your residential address,
  4. Your cellphone number.
We will also need the details of the firearm or firearms you are applying for. These details will include the make, the model, the caliber and the serial number of the firearm that you are going to license. Details of other firearms you currently have licenses for. A copy of all your firearm license cards. We will also need all relevant dedicated status information. You must also request a endorsement letter from the club that you are a member of if you are applying for a section 16 license. In the event that you have a criminal record, you must provide us with a case number.
THE LEGAL REQUIREMENTS TO OWNING A FIREARM
U/S 117705 KNOWLEDGE OF THE FIREARMS CONTROL ACT 60/2000

This unit standard is for persons who have to demonstrate knowledge of the Firearms Control Act 2000 (Act No 60 of 2000), in order to legally possess a firearm. Individuals awarded with this unit standard are able to: Demonstrate a practical understanding of the statutory duties and obligations of firearm ownership as contained in the Act; Demonstrate understanding of the statutory prescriptions applicable to the possession, handling, carrying, storage and use of firearms as prescribed by the Act; and Demonstrate understanding of the statutory prescriptions applicable to the possession and storage of ammunition as prescribed by the Act.

HANDLE AND USE OF A HANDGUN
U/S 119649 HANDLE AND USE A HANDGUN

This unit standard is for anyone who privately uses a handgun and or who requires a Competency Certificate in terms of relevant legislation.  Persons credited with this unit standard are capable of:

  • Handling a handgun.
  • Using a handgun.
  • Carrying out basic inspection and maintenance of a handgun for safe use. 

LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 

It is assumed that learners are already competent in terms of the following unit standard:  

  • 117705: Demonstrate knowledge of the Firearms Control Act (Act No. 60 of 2000) applicable to possessing a firearm.
  • Communication NQF Level 2. 
HANDLE AND USE OF A SHOTGUN

U/S 119652 HANDLE AND USE A SHOTGUN

This unit standard is for anyone who privately uses a shotgun and or who requires a Competency Certificate in terms of relevant legislation.  People credited with this unit standard are capable of:

  • Handling a shotgun.
  • Using a shotgun.
  • Carrying out basic inspection and maintenance of a shotgun for safe use.

It is assumed that learners are already competent in terms of the following unit standard:  

  • 117705: Demonstrate knowledge of the Firearms Control Act (Act No. 60 of 2000) applicable to possessing a firearm.

HANDLE AND USE OF A MANUALLY-OPERATED RIFLE

U/S 11961 HANDLE AND USE A MANUALLY OPERATED-RIFLE OR CARBINE

This unit standard is for anyone who privately uses a manually operated rifle or carbine and or who requires a Competency Certificate in terms of relevant legislation.

People credited with this unit standard are capable of:
Handling a manually operated rifle or carbine;

  • Using a manually operated rifle or carbine; and
  • Carrying out basic inspection and maintenance of a manually operated rifle or carbine for safe use.

  • Using a self loading rifle or carbine.
  • Carrying out basic inspection and maintenance of a self-loading rifle or carbine for safe use.

BUSINESS PURPOSES TRAINING

Handle and use a firearm within a business environment requires unit standards 117705 and 119 basic self-use. 

Business purpose is for individuals that wants to enter security or working in gun shops. Any person wanting to apply for a dealers competency or competence to trade must have business purpose unit standards.

  • Operate a handgun in a business environment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of handgun use under adverse conditions.

  • Communication at NQF level 02.
  • It is further assumed that the following unit standards relating to the handgun have been completed before attempting this unit standard:

HANDLE AND USE A SHOTGUN FOR BUSINESS PURPOSES

U/S 123514 HANDLE AND USE A SHOTGUN FOR BUSINESS PURPOSES

This unit standard applies to persons who will through the application of knowledge of the relevant legislation, carry, handle, shoot and maintain a shotgun for business purposes.

Benefit to society of this unit standard is that law enforcement personnel from both the private and public sectors will contribute to safety in society.

A person credited with this unit standard will be able to:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of safe handling principles in a business environment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the mechanical functioning of the shotgun.
  • Operate a shotgun in a business environment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of shotgun use under adverse conditions.
